Where the world of humans merges with the supernatural…

Books-Changeling.jpg

When an archaeological dig goes awry, twelve-year-old Ally is flung back in time where she crosses paths with a medieval boy accused of being a changeling – a child of the fairy folk.

Weeks of being surrounded by the medieval dead on an archaeological dig does little to prepare Ally for a spectacular discovery: a boy buried with a wealth of treasure that has the archaeologists as excited as they are confused. Little does Ally know that touching the dead boy’s ring will trigger an adventure through time, in which she must save the boy from an untimely death if she is to return to the present.

Abandoned in the woods on a freezing November night, Alf’s prospects look bleak indeed until Ally takes him under her wing. Aided by peculiar mound-dwellers who call themselves ‘hobs’, the children resolve to find a new home for Alf. To do this, however, they must cross a landscape plagued by fearsome, half-mythical creatures, bandits, and hostile, suspicious folk. Worst of all, their tracks are shadowed ever by the Eldest, an ancient, forgotten god who feeds on the blood of the abandoned…

Dead for over three-hundred years, Maeve Spicer remembers nothing about how she died, only that she is waiting for her older brother, Jacob. As the first person able to see and talk to her, Trix is Maeve’s only hope of seeking the truth, giving Maeve the closure she so desperately needs.

Delving into Maeve’s past is not for the faint hearted, however, and the children soon learn that a terrible betrayal involving family feuds and scheming pirates lurks at the heart of Maeve’s death. Meanwhile, Trix discovers that helping Maeve requires breaking more than a few rules, and she’s already in deep trouble as it is…

Sarah wishes her parents would stop arguing, but making wishes can be a dangerous business – you never know who might be listening

Eleven-year-old Sarah’s parents won’t stop arguing, and Sarah knows exactly what this means: Mum and Dad are going to split up. All she can hope is that their Christmas holiday in the quaint fishing village of Mousehole will work its magic and make her parents love each other again. Hope soon turns to desperate wishing and, unbeknownst to Sarah, there’s someone nearby who loves nothing more than transforming despair into joy.

When mermaid Lowena hears notes of despair from Mousehole harbour, she resolves to make everything better for Sarah by creating one of her special globes – a globe that contains a whole world in which only joy exists.

There’s just one catch, however: a surly boy named Ben seems intent on stopping Sarah from being carried away by Lowena’s magic. Only by delving into Ben’s deepest, most secret wishes can Lowena hope to distract him from Sarah’s newly made world, and make life perfect for both of them.

Ben and Sarah each have a choice to make: to live in a perfect world where nothing is real, or to return to the real world, where their parents and the police are desperately searching for them…
